When selecting the appropriate version of the Raptor brake, it’s important to consider the characteristics of your cartridge. Here’s a helpful guide to assist you in making the right choice:

3 Port Raptor: The 3 port version is ideal for popular Semi-auto’s like:

• AR10
• AR15
• 9mm PPC
• AK 407

With increased demand from the Semi-auto owners, we have decided to produce the 3 port Raptor which works exceptionally great. The size is similar to the 4 port overall size, but with 3 ports that are larger than the 4 port.

4 Port Raptor: The 4 port version is ideal for cartridges on the smaller end of the centerfire spectrum. Examples of suitable cartridges include:

• 223 Remington
• 6BR Variants
• 243 Winchester
• 22-250
• 204 Ruger
• 6 Creedmoor

While the 4 port Raptor provides significant recoil reduction even for larger cartridges like the 6.5 Creedmoor, you might find better results with the 5 port version.

5 Port Raptor: The 5 port Raptor was specifically designed to tame the recoil of medium-sized cartridges. Examples cartridges:

• 6.5 Creedmoor
• .308 Winchester
• 260 Remington
• 7-08
• .270 Winchester

If you’re using a larger magnum-sized cartridge and seeking substantial recoil reduction, you might want to consider our Monster version of the Raptor.

Monster: The Monster Raptor was added to the line-up to tame the recoil of the larger calibres. Examples cartridges:

• 300PRC
• 300 WM
• 375 Holland & Holland

Monster XL: The Monster Raptor was added to the line-up to tame the recoil of even bigger boomers. Examples cartridges:

• 300RUM
• 300 Norma Improved
• 338 Ackley
